On July’s last weekend the season of Leonardo Marseglia in the CIK-FIA European Championship ended in the conclusive Championship’s round at the circuit of Kristianstad, Sweden. The 14 y.o. from Ostuni, Southern Italy, confirmed to be in a best shape, placing himself among the first ten drivers of the OK Junior category: he gained the 9th place in the final standigs, as first among the Italian drivers. This result was achieved challenging 92 drivers from 13 different Countries.
His result was finally fulfilling: the Apulian driver was 9th after have took the start from row 6. Also, he finished in the same place in the European Championshp’s final standings, too. This is a good omen, in view of the upcoming CIK-FIA World Championship that Leonardo is getting ready to race at the PFi Circuit in Brandon (GB) on the weekend of 24th September
Wheater changes marked the final round of the European Championship, so much that the Final took place under the rain on Sunday’s afternoon. The young Italian driver was not satisfied of his performance in the qualifying practice: in the heats, he had to recover many positions to gain a best place in the starting grid of the Final. On Sunday, the climate changes required a new set-up. Marseglia didn’t give up, also because he usually likes to race on wet track.
