Leonardo Marseglia kicked off his 2022 by starting again from the kart track of Franciacorta (BS). A good top ten on his return to the track with Birel Art colours.
Definitely useful and interesting weekend that ended at Franciacorta Karting Track, home of the Winter Series by Champions Of The Future (RGMMC). Race format that has taken what will be the FIA Karting races from the first stage of Genk – Belgium (12-15 May).
Marseglia has therefore picked up where he left off a few months ago, appearing at the starting blocks of KZ2, the queen class of the event with the presence of drivers belonging to KZ1.
A continuous improvement the one made by Leonardo, starting from the official qualifications on Friday closed with the 15th absolute time (fourth for group C). In the three available heats, Marseglia has regularized his race pace, maximizing the starting position with a fifth and an eighth place, closing in beauty with the second position in the third and final heat. Placings useful to earn the seventh overall position in view of the SuperHeat on Sunday morning.
On that occasion too, the improvement of the Birel Art driver was significant, as he was able to manage the start and the salient phases of the race with the seventh final position and the eighth starting place for the KZ2 Final, obtained after the sum of the Heats and the SuperHeat.
The final concluded the first weekend of the 2022 season keeping Marseglia’s attention high, immediately in the fray of the best drivers and involved in duels along the 23 laps of the race. Tenth position under the chequered flag, a good start after months of stop from racing.
