Leonardo Marseglia ends the FIA European season in KZ2 positively.
After two rounds between Adria and Genk, Marseglia sends the 2020 European Championship to the archive with two excellent performances that bode well for the rest of the season.
On the Genk circuit, the defender of the colors Birel Art in KZ2 performed well and managed to always remain in the leading positions. In the qualifying session, Marseglia had set a good tenth time despite some traffic on the good lap and track conditions that were not entirely optimal. The real great potential of the Apulian came out well in the four direct heats of Genk on Saturday.
Marseglia, thanks to a fourth, sixth and seventh place, was able to access the third starting row for the very final KZ2 in fifth position. The Italian driver’s race then unfortunately ended prematurely following a race contact when he was fighting for the podium positions. Too serious problem to be able to continue the race and consequent withdrawal. Despite the final result, Marseglia proved to be able to fight for the top positions, confirming even more the good growth process. The Apulian concludes in seventh overall position in the general classification.
“It was a very competitive weekend and we are sorry for the final result. I thank and congratulate my Birel Art team and Marijn Kremers for winning the title, thanks also to Galiffa, my mechanic and all those who support us during the season ”.
