The 2017 season opens for Leonardo Marseglia with a first important podium achieved in an international event like the Winter Cup: a unique round that collects the best karting drivers from all over the world in Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). At the end of a very intense Final, the Italian driver grabbed the third place in the OK Junior class after having recovered several positions. This is the first prestigious result of this season for Marseglia, competing this year for the Chiesa Corse Team, driving the chassis Zanardi with Parilla engine.
The race at the South Garda circuit saw the elimination of some of the favourite drivers in the top positions, following race contacts.
Marseglia has recovered progressively, concluding third from the eighth position he was in the first laps. The final result has consolidated the performance that has been shown by the Apulian driver since the start of the Italian weekend. In fact, he has completed in the first three positions every qualifying heat, since Friday after the qualifying practice.
The next opportunity to confirm the favourable moment of Leonardo Marseglia, is close to come: the second round of the WSK Super Master Series will be held in two weeks in Castelletto di Branduzzo, and Marseglia (fifth in the overall standings) is among the favourites.
